Founded in 2002 in Xining, Qinghai — the gateway to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau — General Health began as a research-driven mission to unlock the potential of wild sea buckthorn. Today, we are a vertically integrated ingredient and manufacturing partner serving nutraceutical, functional food, and cosmetic brands worldwide.

Why the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Matters
The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is the highest and largest plateau on Earth — averaging over 4,500 meters in altitude. It is one of the world's four ultra-clean zones, with minimal industrial activity, intense UV exposure, dramatic temperature swings, and long sunshine hours.
These stressors drive plants to produce higher concentrations of protective compounds. Compared with low-altitude alternatives, plateau-grown sea buckthorn and goji berry consistently show elevated levels of flavonoids, polysaccharides, omega-7, zeaxanthin, and vitamin C.
